Service active handling - steering position sensor
Hi all,
new to me 2011 grandsport with the dreaded service active handling message. Pulled code C0710 and went to clean the connection/ zip tie the connector to the sensor.
upon pulling the kick panel I noticed the sensor housing was loose on the shaft and the retaining ring also just loose free-wheeling.
imagine someone has been there before and didn’t deal with it correctly…
here are some pics - where do you suggest I go from here?
tried snapping the retaining ring back into place but I can’t get it to seat for some reason.. very difficult to see the backside so I’m assuming I’m not aligning it correctly or it’s broken (all the tabs seem in place)
