I had to laugh at your write up. When car work goes faster than I estimate, I have that exact same thought!
Had I just read about your new addition, I would have not even looked into it. However, after seeing it, I truly like it! IMO, it looks great and not over the top at all.

Right. lol I figured a lot of would relate to a problem free job. I’m the same , I forgot something damn it. lol. or double check the work. lol
I put amorall equivalent on it,think it’s called Black Magic.
thank you and was easy off easy on. One person job.
I wouldn't continue to use that stuff on it. Ittl dry and brittle the plastic. Its a super aggressive and truthfully just made for tires. If you want it glossy the best option would be to paint it, if not that then perhaps try something like back to black or an actual plastic restorer.

After I posted did some research on using on plastic and seen people reporting it drying and turning parts white, so I went out wiped it clean and used Sonics on it. I have this other stuff supposed to be like top of line in can will look and post when I go outside if I remember. It is made for restoring the faded plastics, which i didn't use as it was new plastic splitter.
What I discovered and made sense the self tappers they want you to install. Where the Splitter has the air openings they want you to put a screw each side of them, because the OEM has 2 in same area, but with the new splitter because of opening you have to customize. They want same amount of screws as OEM.

I would love to replace mine, it's the only part of the car that has any blemishes, but it scrapes on everything. I have to strategically pull in and out of my driveway at a crawl and it still scrapes. I would love a larger one that looks like a splitter but I know that'll be a disaster in no time.

Mine too super careful. But next time you hear scrape stop get out and look. It could be the lower air dam your hearing most of time. That sucker sits lower than splitter.
