I am sure I am not the only one but does anyone have any suggestions for what paint you would use on the Hubs that show rust? I did the calipers and they look great but the hubs leave a little to be desired. Easy, now, first time owner
If you are referring to the "hats" of the brake rotors, I have used Rustoleum for rusty metal. No need for a primer if all loose rust is removed. Just use a very rough sand paper to remove what comes off. Paint the inside and outside perimeter, then let the brake pads clean off the overlap.
Here is an example on what I did for my mother's Chevy Tracker. I sandblasted the rear drums and calipers but bought new raw steel front rotors and painted them myself.

I've also used high temp bbq grille paint but found it doesn't stay to long and doesn't stay gloss or isn't gloss to being with. The gloss black on the rotor in my other post is a few years old (blue is new though).
Maybe POR-15 has changed since I used it around 15 years ago, but the product breaks down from sunlight. You must top-coat it with a paint.
I used POR-15 when restoring an old Ford Ranger pickup truck. I took the bed off, banged off all the loose rust, and covered the entire frame with POR-15. I followed up brushing on a coat of black Rustoleum. The combination of the two products was fantastic.

Rustoleum rattle can satin black. Quick & easy, lasts the life of the rotor.
Been using Rustoleum products for years on my other vehicle brake systems. It works great and lasts, even the gloss. Most recently I painted my drums on my 91 Z28 with their industrial coatings line "Aluminum" color. I also used it on the center vent area of the front rotors. It has held up nicely with the heat and it looks really good.
