Hello all. I have a squeak that's driving me nuts. I'm guessing it's a bushing somewhere. Sounds like it's coming from front-driver-ish area. It's a 2008 base, all original suspension. It's definitely noticeable at slow speeds, not sure about higher speeds...the car is pretty noisy. I uploaded (I think) a short clip. Maybe some help with what's most likely and where to start...? Thanks and cheers.
My daughters 2008 just had the exact same problem. She had it looked at three times before figuring it out. Turned out to be the shocks and the ride height adjusters.
The rubber was rubbed off the adjusters. We first replaced just the adjusters and the squeak was there but noticeably less. Then we replaced the front shocks and the squeak was gone.
Auto repair shop said it was upper and lower control arm bushings but they couldn’t do the repair! Anyone know what it costs to have these bushings replaced?
I watched a YouTube video by Scotty Kilmer recommending ATP At 205 rubber reconditioned and it works. I removed my front wheels and squirted 205 on the bushings then left them overnight and the squeaking is gone (for now)
my shocks and control arm bushings all look good there just 15 years old. I used an old ear wash rinsing bulb to apply the 205 directly to the bushings. Fixed for $21 !
Replaced passenger side shock with Bilstein B6 and squeak is still there! Will replace drivers side this week but not too hopeful it will go away ☹️
i lube all bushings with silicone spray when replacing shocks as well but still squeaking!
Replace them. I went thru the exact same thing on my daughter's 2008. She had both shocks replaced along with new ride height adjusters and now all is well.

Replaced second shock with billstein b6 shock!?lubed all bushings with wd 40 silicone lube! Rubber on lifting bolts looks bad so ordered replacements on Amazon will put in reserve until squeak returns. Hopefully it won’t!
