Default I知 Back!!

After a 10+ year hiatus, I’m back, baby. I’m back with my dream Corvette, my forever Corvette. Although it is not the Z06 or Grand Sport, I have this baby in my Garage after looking for 3 years for this Color with LS3. It is a clean 2009 C6 3LT. It has everything I wanted except for Nav & rear camera (will be upgrading later) and I will definitely be looking for guidance from you guys. I thank everyone who has helped me with my C5 that I sold in 2014. It was a 2000 3LT coupe.

I kept it low miles, bought with 25k miles & sold it in 2014 with 40K miles after 11 years of ownership. I sold it for $4k less than when I purchased it. Worth every penny & smiles per gallon. My new baby has 29K miles on her & I bought it from dealer, CARFAX check was great, 1 owner. I went through the whole car & found no issues, except for the horn not working.

Myself & the dealer missed this, so I can’t blame them too much as they are going to fix it for free within their 5 day warranty. I am an Electronics Technician working on Avionics for 25 years & followed schematics I found on here and isolated to the horn emitter, a Ground issue or wire harness. I let the dealer know & they can debug & replace.

I can’t tell you guys enough how awesome it is to back in the Corvette Family. The C6 Velocity Yellow is my ultimate because of the C6R, which I would love to pay Homage to replicating some styling cues. My obsession with the C6R goes deep into me playing the video game Forza Motorsport 4 using the C6R to have absolute fun. Thanks for reading.

'Bout time you came back!! What a terrific Corvette you bought. I love the color and the way it's equipped. You will love every minute with that fine vehicle. My guess is you already known that. Congratulations.

PS. Sorta looks a lot like the one I own, except mine is an older "08.

Welcome back, Ray. Like you, I sold a C5, at the time never thinking that I would return to the world of Corvettes. WRONG! Congratulations on a stunning Corvette, beautiful color and great wheels. Wow, what a looker. From what I can tell from the Forum the Phoenix area is quite active for Corvettes, so enjoy your new baby year around.

I thought all corvettes were RED and the rest were mistakes in the paint department. But the car looks great and welcome back and don't be afraid to taker her out and put some miles on her she deserve it.

Welcome back, and congrats! Nice to see that you bought a car that no one will notice, you'll just merge into the background. LOL

Thank you guys for the replies. One thing I have noticed is how is how easier it is to drive with 2 feet on this C6. From what I remember, my C5 was not this easy, am I wrong in this assumption?

Hey guys,
so I got my new to me C6 into dealer to fix horn and I notified and exampled the gas smell after fill up to dealer within the 5 day warranty. The fuel smell is exactly at fill up & diminishing in garage after 3 /4 left in tank. I just wanna know what else I need to put in my arsenal if they come back with no fault found on fuel smell. Had salesman & tech get into car and they noticed the fuel smell. I went through everything within the C6 and these are the only issues that are outstanding. Granted, yes no one would not normally notice the fuel issue unless it is in a garage or confined space.

There’s nothing like a Vette in a bright color to make someone’s day. Once you get the Corvette itch, it never goes away. Enjoy!!
