Default Bumper ideas

Good evening everyone! I recently purchased a Twin turbo c6. I've been a big fan of how R8's with twin turbos take their bumper off to show the turbos off. I kind of wanted to take a page from that book and apply it to mine.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I could maybe find a clear bumper or some way to show off the turbos? They are mounted behind the bumper under the license plate and above the diffuser.

All help is greatly appreciated!!

No first hand experience but I wouldn't modify your original rear bumper, just take it off and store it somewhere.

Then look for a white junk yard rear bumper and hack it up to show the turbos. Perhaps take it to a body shop, and they could chop it up for you to show the turbos.

Best of luck.

In for the final results.

No, of course I'd keep the original. I was hoping to find someone who had a cast of it and could maybe make a clear bumper of some sort, that might be ugly tho.

I am with post 2.
Find a used rear bumper, cut an artistic hole above the diffuser and below the lic. plate, then add a screen and molding.
I also like the idea that the screen will add a heat escape.
A fully transparent bumper.... that's a rare item.
Experimenting is my two-cent comment.
Great project, good luck.

I was thinking about the screen, do you mean like a mesh or a plexiglass piece?

If you mean plexiglass, I can't think of anywhere where it would mount. Also on a 1-10 scale how labor intensive is it to take off the rear bumper?

Post some pics of it with the rear bumper off so we can get an idea of how the turbos are laid out.
