Today I damaged some lug nuts trying to take them off. Who ever put them on went way over on the torque. Any way, went to Rock Auto to see about ordering some lug nuts. There are a lot of choices and I’m not sure which ones to get or is there another source out there you recommend.
The vette is a 2007 Z51, stock chrome wheels, can anyone help me out here.
Secondly, what is the torque on these lug nuts and are the rear lug nuts the same?
Rears are the same as front, and I believe the torque is 90 ft. lbs. That's what I do, and I never had one fall off.
Rock Auto is great for a lot of stuff, but try to avoid any Chinese stuff if you can. Sometimes it's better to just go to the Chevy store and pay full retail for something that you know is good. I did that (replacing those stupid locking nuts) and they were quite pricey... but I don't have to worry about them.
I use McGard chrome lug nuts from RockAuto and as others stated torque to 100 ft lbs and remember when finished always set you torque wrench back at zero

I used to Store at Zero also, but buddy told me no way you store Torque Wrench's at the Lowest Torque Setting. So if your wrench is rated at 25-150lbs store at 25lbs so now that is what I do took awhile for me to break habit

Makes no difference. You just don't want to store it with a high load on the spring. But you will spend less time spinning the adjuster if you store it at the lowest setting.
