Default 2007 Corvette won’t start

I got a tough one for you guy’s hope you can help.
Took my 2007 corvette in for a smog today, drove it to get gas and then to the store started with no issues.
Got home pulled in the driveway, put it in park (automatic transmission) and turned it off no issues.
Later went to pull in it the garage, the door opened fine. Pushed the start button it clicked one time and everything went dead, doors wouldn’t open and the only thing that had power was the radio.
Battery checked out at 13v, cleaned the battery posts still no power to the door had to open it with the latch inside.
We tried to jump start it still nothing, disconnected the battery again and reconnected it. Got back in and tried to start it again this time the green light on the start button was lite up, still didn’t start.
The radio and dome lights were the only thing that had power.
have looked through the forum for any suggestions and tried, switching fuses, cleaning the battery cables at the battery also tried to take it out of park and put it into neutral so I could push in the garage. Quick side note does the car need to be running to move the shifter from auto to neutral?
So I have ran out of things to check.
Could it be the start button being bad and if it is will it make the car have no power or maybe the starter.

Thanks

Clean all of the connections at the starter, but before you go messing around down there, disconnect the negative battery cable.

For ANY no start condition you always want to start at the battery…this is not a tough one…just because it reads 13 volts doesn’t mean it’s good…get it load tested and if it still doesn’t start we can narrow it down.

I'm leaning towards a starter issue, but just out of curiosity, how old is your battery?

Of the 2 mentioned scenarios, I would clean the contacts on the starter first, then, if no change a new battery is in order. Let us know what the solution ends up to be....good luck....

load test the battery first, dont just get a new one.
or put the battery in a different car.

another way is turn headlights on and then test the battery voltage.

batteries do cause a lot problems, but throwing away a battery without testing it is not proper troubleshooting.
13 volts is plenty provided one cell isnt going bad and dropping down to say 10 volts under load. but if a load is placed on the battery and it hold decent voltage then the battery is not the problem. BTW, my car starts with 12.1 volts for reference.

This is NOT technically correct, But will maybe let you understand electricity a bit. Electricity is like a stream of water? yes like a a stream!!! the water is electricity, the sides of the walls containing the stream is the wiring. It will make sense in a bit!!!! If the stream is moving @12MPH (voltage), and it is 50 ft. wide and 4ft feet deep, that has a lot of power (amps) so it will be hard to stand in! But it can do a lot of work. If it is full of rocks (Resistance) It does not have as much power to knock you over and can not do as much work, but it is still moving at 12MPH. If the stream is only 5 feet wide, and 1 foot deep, but still moving at 12MPH can't do as much work ( knock you over (crank the engine) but it could move a canoe 12MPH (unless you put your hands out and grabbed the canoe, you could stop it. So the battery can have 13 volts, but not enough amps to move the starter (most require 200amps), but could light bulbs, operate locks etc.If the battery is good, but there are to many rocks - resistance- (dirty connections, still no start. That is why you start at the battery WITH A LOAD TEST, does it have the amps (power), then if it doesn't crank, go to the starter check for resistance (loose and/or dirty connections). Is the power from the battery actually getting to the starter? All electricity goes in a circle from positive battery post, to where ever and back to the negative post. If it can not complete the circle it can NOT complete the circle and make "stuff" work. Next week voltage drop in a parallel vs series circuit! Voltmeters measure Voltage DROP not Voltage. Remember if you are standing on the edge of a dam and try to measure how fast the Stream is flowing into it it will be 12mph 2 miles away but when it gets to the dam itself O mph

That sounds like somethign that happened to me. End fix (for me) ... disconnected the battery for 20 minutes; reconnected it and everything worked fine. Absolutely no idea what bit got stuck in which computer, but a complete power down fixed it.
