I was wondering if this is all I need when installing new headers. I dont know much when it comes to cars and was just wondering if I needed to get anything thing else or would all of this be fine.
Purchased Kooks System myself. Only stated that because I found the OEM exhaust much better.. 11 GS= LS3.
From earlier days exhaust bolts became loose over time, so I opted for stage 8 locking bolts/your might not agree , Just my thoughts
When I was looking for headers and all the info Ive seen about speed engineering, people have recommended to upgrade the gasket and add 3" lap joints clamps. Everything else that you've picked is good.
Speed Engineering is good, when it fits. I've found over the years that fit is inconsistent. Those paper gaskets? Yea don't get those, use a factory MLS gasket. Recommend upgrading to ARP header bolts so you don't have headaches in the future. fire sleeves for your plug wires are a good idea (I see you've chosen that option). I run kooks on my car. More expensive, but you get what you pay for.
IMPORTANT when running headers make sure the fitment is good with your clutch line, o2 sensor lines, battery cables. get them all as far away as possible, there locations are hot spots anyway.

Thank you so much for your input, do you by chance know the quantity of lap joint clamps I should purchase??

I'm sure I'm beating a dead horse but how happy are you guys with headers on your otherwise stock C6? Also, is heat shielding a must?

I di a camshaft at the same time, but either way, headers are a great upgrade if you get a set that avoids the headaches that come from headers on tight fitting engines.

Are you happy with the car cammed? On the fence about modding car or just go c7.

I am. But my car is a full track car now with aftermarket heads, lifters, etc. I hen it was just a cammed street car it was awesome. And less headache than a c7
I installed a set of Belanger Custom Tri-Y headers. They are amazing and gave me 54 hp increase over OEM. They are precision hand fabricated, and are not stainless steel. They are aluminized steel and run much cooler than stainless. I had Belanger's on both of my Vipers. Amazing increase in performance. Beautiful custom work Fit perfect, and I installed them myself.
