Hello Everyone
Having an issue where my right low beam light isn’t working, tried replacing the bulb and checked fuse and everything seems fine.
Anywhere else I should look before having to spend money on new headlights? Thank you !
2007 corvette
There was a recall for the lowbeams but since yours only involve the right side it could be headlight or wiring…if you have no electrical troubleshooting skills you can replace it and keep your fingers crossed…there are some connectors involved in that circuit that could be checked…good luck !!
Wondering if you have a failed ballast? HID headlights need more than the 12v the car supplies so there is a ballast on the headlight assembly that feeds the bulb. If you can get access to that ballast you could see if there is 12v going INTO it with the low beams on. If there is then the only thing left is the ballast or the wiring. I don't know what the voltage coming out is.
Probably the ballast. Mine stopped working so I purchased a ballast on eBay and problem solved. Don’t go to the dealer, they will charge you 10 times what you will pay on eBay or Rock Auto. It’s a simple job but requires wheel and wheel wheel removal.
