With the likely implementation of displacement on demand technology, you can just about kiss CAGS goodbye. :steering:

Just curious, do you have any decent evidence that the C6 will use displacement on demand?
As for CAGS, I just hope you can lift the car and easily disable it like o the C5.

I think it's a safe bet the C6 will have CAGS. It's all about the CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) ratings for GM. :yesnod:

I've heard rumours that the CAFE gestapo won't allow the C6 to "cheat" by using CAGS. That is to say, in real world situations, people either defeat the CAGS mechanically or by driving aggressively, so real-world gas mileage is lower than tested mleage.
But, it's just a net rumor, so..... :skep:

I believe that displacment on demand won't be on the first C6 (it's been said)and that it will function under conditions of light load (ie not under even mild acceleration). I do expect CAGS to remain.

They can keep on crankin' 'em out with CAGS, and people will keep on removing it. Fine by me. :flag :smash:
