sway bar repaint

Default sway bar repaint
Uprgrading base vette with some Z51 sway bars. Any reason to repaint the wear marks (where the bushings are) on the sway bars? friction or just asthetics?

You can paint the bar, but the friction marks will return after a few miles of driving.

My vote: I would not paint over that area.

Yet I would ensure that contact area is very smooth and add a little grease on the bushing face to the bar.
