I recently purchased my first corvette. It is a base model 2007 coupe with 81,000 miles. All and all a solid car. I would like to hear any and all pro's or con's about the C6. I do plain on swapping out the current radio. It is a double din pioneer. I am going to install one that will do carplay or android auto

Congratulations. I’ve owned my 09 for 3 1/2 years - lots of pros with the only con being ground clearance… but we know that when we buy a Corvette. Enjoy the ride!

Don't forget to get a back up camera kit, not hard to do and you will happy with it, Suggest you work with Crutchfield.

Cons: Not many. Maybe the cost of some parts.

Pros: The C6 is the most fun trip car that we have ever owned.

Crutchfield is the best source for head units and premade wiring harnesses great tech support and instructions.

What color is your car? I just purchased a kit from Chipex in machine silver that I probably won't use. Thanks

Congrats. My 07, bought new, has done me well for 112,000 miles. Check out this thread for FAQs.

PRO: My 18 years of ownership has set me back $5914 in tires, repairs and maintenance....$328 per year, five cents per mile....so very reliable. Don't ask about mod costs

Check the harmonic balancer to make sure it is rotating smoothly. I had to replace mine on my 07 plus an EVAP canister solenoid, which was cheap but an arm wrestling match to install. I changed all the fluids and installed a new battery. It's been 100% reliable and trouble free in the nearly 2 years I've owned it. No mods on mine. Just pure, unmodded C6 joy!

We need pics!

I am also new to Vettes, so welcome !!!, We did ours in 8/2023. I'm a Viper guy because it is part of MY MOPAR Family. But they are not a car to travel in, just something to scare yourself with. The 08 we got is (as other will agree - and you probably will after a bit) a Great driving and handling car! Comfortable, Quick, Fast. etc. Our longest ride so far 4 hours and change from home - in and around Vermont and back. Got 27mpg!. I'm 72 so the lights up front are terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fog lights worthless. Lots of "stuff" on this site about was others have done. I actually made my own driving lights. Drive it and enjoy it, for a while before you start adding or changing things. Then make it yours the way YOU want it.
