Default Styling...

I hope GM keeps in mind the word "character" when designing the C6. I don't want them to move into the "lumpy" new age crowd. :nono:

That's an odd comment. What exactly is the "lumpy new aged crowd?" Don't worry about character. I think thats something the vette will always have. At least in the forseable future. I'm hoping it thrills me at first sight. But one thing's for sure. Some team of designers deep inside GM is going to work hard to give us what they think is the "perfect" C6. So it's bound to have some degree of character and merit.

To me,it's not as much what it will look like.Because I know that I will love it as a Corvette. But will I love it as a Corvette that I must purchase. It's like almost a sure thing, but the C6 must yell out from a distance."Hey,I'm a new gosh darn Corvette"!
Why? Because I'm a human.

At least the Vette will never be a Fast and Furious neon rice burner. And the lumpy new aged crowd will never be able to afford one. :D

Lumpy, as in a "big lump". No curves, blunt nose, and square stuff. Like that car in the old rent-a-car commercial, "The two door speck".

Yes, but the Caddy is OK because it's not a sports car. I just don't want the GM engineers to have a three beer friday and us suffer for it.

Wait...hold on...let me check the XLR...

Two seats? Check. Decent engine? Check. Good handling? Check. Convertible? Check.

Sounds like a sports car.

Yes, but now you moved off-topic too performance instead of styling.

Of course, because styling, a subjective thing, does not determine whether or not something is or is not a sports car.

That would be kind of like saying that slapping a Lambo body kit on a Fiero makes it a supercar. There is no specific look that makes a car a sports car.

Well... I meant you were off topic because I started the thread with "Styling..." as the title to talk style and not performance specs. But, I get your point.
