Unfortunately, time waits for no one but don't give up without a fight
One of my favorite Stones songs
Respect that u will drive a Vette at age, i hope i can at age (only 57 now).
Cant really help u with tips besides training abs as must as possible.
But i believe u are fit enough sir, problem is lack of space and big doors.
Think i rather park the Vette outside instead of stop driving it.
My Convertible is my daily, and its parked outside 24/7
I do baby my car, but sleeping outside and use it daily wont harm her
My solution for getting in and out of the lowered C6
With a problem of flexing a left knee due to repetitive sports injuries over the hears, and now nearly 76 years old, I did the Vertical Door install and it solved my difficulties in getting in and out of the car. I've taken a bit of flack from some saying I was a poser for the Lambo crowd, and you know what....I don't give a rip what people think. It has made my life so much easier and is keeping me in this lowered car for many years to come. That was my solution for the knee difficulties! My solution for getting in and out of the lowered car made much easier with the Vertical Doors
I’m not even 40 yet but what I do is slide my legs and feet out first then with my left palm place it on the door sill and push myself up and out. Sometimes I will also put my my hand on the wheel at the same time to push out and I’m pushing up with my left. If that makes any sense? I’ve tried just about every way to smoothly get out of my C5 and C6, seems this is the best way. As stated above you can also grab the seat bolster area and push yourself out but it will start pulling the stitching apart eventually.
Hey Terry, sorry, I've had mine for like 12 years or so, forgot how long it took, normal time though, week or so... Watch the for sale section they pop up there often.
Thank you Lee. Is it the easy plug in under the dash as they say? Does it interfere with the cars electronics at all? If you've had and used it for 12 years, it must be reliable.
I'll let you know when I receive it and how it works.
Have a good weekend.
Terry
Doesn't interfere with anything, works with the normal key fob, instructions are simple, I forget it's even there. I'm so use to using it feels like it is from the factory with it until I need to get emissions test done, then I just simply unplug it for that test and then plug it back in.

Hello Lee.
I've had the window valet for a while now and it works great. It is the answer to my problem. Thank you very much for your help.
All the best,
Terry
