Default Missing panel? or as designed?
Complete novice here...Is this hole near the rear of the oil pan supposed to be open or is there a panel missing? If so will it cause any damage and what is the part called that is missing. Thank you!

Should be a rubber inspection plug there.

I think GM calls it a Driveline Support Hole Plug
