I did. Makes a subtle but improved difference.

I did that with my 08. What i really noticed was the linear feel. The C6 spring is "cammed" so that tension grows then releases once past the center point. The C5 spring is just a spring. For me it improved feel, though I cannot say I noticed it being any lighter in pressure needed. My current 07 Z06 has no spring (came that way from the guy I bought it from) and while odd on a cold start, I haven't had any issues and it seems to be lighter in initial feel.

No spring here as well…I like the feel vs stock spring. You might try that first since it costs nothing.

As some here used to say...best $15 you can spend on a C6. I never liked the feel of the original spring. Reminded me of an on/off switch. The C5 spring seems much more linear and that works for me. Some like no spring, others like the original spring. If the car was bought used; there are some that may have the C5 spring and not know it.
Look at the size difference. C6 oem spring on the left. C5 spring on the right

What he said. Might be tough to find though. I hope mine hangs on for a while. They tend to break quite often.

I installed one on my '08. I like it a lot. Recently tried to find another for a spare. No luck so far.
