Default C6 Corvette Window Valet

Hey All, What is your opinion on the C6 Corvette Window Valet from southern corvette? Are there any pros & cons? I was thinking about it for my 07 base. When I park in the garage, its so tight that I have to squeeze out with the window up because I do not want to leave it down. The garage is not attached to the house. Thanks, Paulie B

Love mine on my 06 vert.....the only downside to it is that it does tie up the OBD2 port.

I have one from them, I would say close to 8 years love it, specially walking up to hot car, before I get there I lower the windows to cool down the car a little.

Has anyone tried the GM ones on Aliiexpress?
Thinking about ordering one just to try, they are under 10 bucks

I use one on my 09 Z for theft deterrent. If someone tries to open door when locked, the horn sounds 3 times. I think you have to set this feature in programming.

I personally would stay away from anything from Aliiexpress.

You probably don't wanna know where all the vendors get their lights, leds, etc etc from...Actually it's from Alibaba because you have to buy in bulk. Aliexpress you can buy individually. Those Speed Engineer headers with xpipe are actally 100 bucks. Yes 100. They just buy in bulk. Those "brand name" headlights that cost 500 to 1000 from vendors are $250. Those super bright leds that vendors sell for 90 bucks are 8 bucks shipped. That carbon fiber steering wheel that's 800 is 100 bucks off the site. Not all but most vendors here buy from Alibaba and slap their names on them or have the China factory do it because they get a deal if they sign a contract for x amount of time. If you guys wanna overpay cool. Not me.

Probably where the vendors get theirs from. I seen so many parts that vendors here charge crazy money and they are so cheap on Alibaba but you have to buy in bulk. Aliexpress you can buy individually but cost way more in some cases. I wouldn't be afraid to get it from Aliexpress

Yes exactly what I have been seeing myself!
I Bought Clear laser Side Markers a year ago for 22.00 for all 4, I also wanted new Visors and did not want the Garage Door Buttons, got the Visors with Leds in already for 40.00 for 2, My double cup holder for 20.00 and my mild 2 wild for 20.00.
Knock on wood but so far so good.
The Tail Lights I wasn't to happy with they were not to bright in direct sunlight, so ended up buying Infari's
But have bought quite a bit direct from China saving the markup vendor's need to charge. Nothing against that, but if I can save a buck why not LOL

Funny I bought the same ones and I couldn't get them to work and people were like well that's what you get for buying "knock offs" Come to find out I just had to bend the pins on my stock harness. It's all made in China and I saved 80 bucks. I bought that same cup holder. The vendor wanted 60 I got it for 25 shipped. Again all this crap is made in China, I understand the vendors need to make money but guess what we all gotta eat too. I was going to see about doing a group buy on those c8 style lights but I figured that would be a no no with the moderators. I'll still ask them. Don't get me wrong I bought stuff from A&A Corvettes when I had my blower C5 but when it comes to led and side skirts and steering wheels and stuff yeah I'm gonna buy from where they are buying. Call me whatever you want but I have the same part as others I just wasn't dumb enough to pay the 300% markup. I'm sure I'll get some slack but unless you wanna spend your money on my car I'll keep finding out where the vendors order from and I'll go to the manufacturer. There are a lot of B2B e-commerce platforms to choose from and you can talk to the vendors too. if I wasn't so lazy Id buy in bulk and undercut them all but I'm not like that. You should see the titanium exhaust for C8's that cost $3 to 5k and you can get them overseas for around 800 bucks that vendors have their names welded on. Again it's based on what contract they have with them and what you want to do. You can also pay to be "exclusive" I'll shut up now

Do you still have link to the window module that worked for you? Bend pin?
