Hello, can anyone tell me details of what’s putting your automatic transmission into the S position does. I haven’t been able to find any details of the mechanical and software changes that occur when you are in that S position.. I should add that I have the standard Z 51 suspension.
I’m going from memory here, and while these may apply to my ‘11, not sure about your ‘07.
The upshift points are delayed a bit for performance considerations. Allegedly. I don’t notice much of a difference.
Once you use a paddle shifter, the tranny will no longer shift automatically. You need to do all shifting with the paddles. That stays in effect until you shift into drive.
If you come to a stop, the tranny will not shift into 1st, but will shift into second from which you’ll start, unless you use the paddles to shift into 1st before you start off.
