Default Interior lighting issue

So a few days ago,I noticed that my dash lights and console lights don't turn to "night mode". My headlights will automatically turn on when it gets dark, but my dash lights don't dim and my console lights (radio, AC, etc) don't get backlit. Also the green headlight icon never appears in my dash.

So driving at night my console is very dark, and my dash is very bright. At first I thought it may be the light sensor that sits in the air vent in the top/middle of the dash, but it turns on and off my headlights just as it should. Any ideas of where to start? I didn't see an obvious fuse that it could be.

First off, the dash lights turn on at night, and are off during the day when head lights are off.
As for dimmer not working on some lights, best guess is they where change out to LEDs, and will not dim down with left hand knee **** on lower knee panel dimmer ****.
If dimmer is not dimming dash, and someone did not replace the builbs in it to LEDs, then suspect problem with dimmer switch on the left hand knee panel, that could have problems is after market radio was not fired up correctly.

As for problem at the center console, may not be at the main BCM location, but one of the fuse to the right of the BCM block, that will have some of the BCM man wires over the top, making it a real "Joy" to get the cover off.

So step one, pull right hand side fuse block to check all the fuse to see if any are blown.
If not the problem, then pull center console to check connectors/ power to bulbs and radio light current there, to see if problem with wiring, and if any of those bulbs have been changed to LEDs to cause problems, then pull dimmer on left hand panel to check it and its connector as well.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Everything was working previously and I have no doubt they are stock and not LED.

For dimming I'm not talking about the selectable dash dimmer,I mean that when the headlights come on the dash isn't automatically dimming. And then the console/radio lights are off when the headlights are off,but don't turn on when the headlights turn on.

But I'll give the BCM fuses a check and see if it's something there.

Well checked all the fuse, and no issues there. So either a switch or sensor is busted im thinking. Whatever it is, there must be a factory setting that whenever whatever broke breaks, still turns on the headlights as the light sensor tells it to, but it no longer dims the dash/turns on the console lights.

I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly, but one of the settings on the dimmer switch is after a detent click, it sets the dash to NOT dim ever, always on super bright. If you go to dim the lights, off the detent, then they dim as lights come on. I could be remembering a different car other than the C6. I don't mess w/ my dimmer **** much anyway. Maybe this helps?

Took me awhile to figure out the dimmer was a push button for interior lights too lol… interesting, wish I could make mine slightly brighter at night.

The dimmer is adjustable left and right, and then if you push in it goes full brightness and turns on all the map/reading lights as well. But the map lights aren't turned on so it's not that.

It's more like the car interior doesn't go into "night" mode

IIRC when mine is in "Day Mode" The dash and console, radio for sure, light up to full brightness. Night mode both radio and console go to the dimmer switch. I know this as when I pull out of the garage during the day I can't see the radio display until day mode lights it fully. I have the Sat/Nav radio. Not sure on the backlit HVAC controls if they light to full during the day.
Did you try to disconnect the battery for a while and then hook it back up? Also since your green light does not come on when the lights do maybe try switching out of auto mode and manually turn on and off the headlights and see if it makes a difference.
