Interior lighting issue
So driving at night my console is very dark, and my dash is very bright. At first I thought it may be the light sensor that sits in the air vent in the top/middle of the dash, but it turns on and off my headlights just as it should. Any ideas of where to start? I didn't see an obvious fuse that it could be.
As for dimmer not working on some lights, best guess is they where change out to LEDs, and will not dim down with left hand knee **** on lower knee panel dimmer ****.
If dimmer is not dimming dash, and someone did not replace the builbs in it to LEDs, then suspect problem with dimmer switch on the left hand knee panel, that could have problems is after market radio was not fired up correctly.
As for problem at the center console, may not be at the main BCM location, but one of the fuse to the right of the BCM block, that will have some of the BCM man wires over the top, making it a real "Joy" to get the cover off.
So step one, pull right hand side fuse block to check all the fuse to see if any are blown.
If not the problem, then pull center console to check connectors/ power to bulbs and radio light current there, to see if problem with wiring, and if any of those bulbs have been changed to LEDs to cause problems, then pull dimmer on left hand panel to check it and its connector as well.
For dimming I'm not talking about the selectable dash dimmer,I mean that when the headlights come on the dash isn't automatically dimming. And then the console/radio lights are off when the headlights are off,but don't turn on when the headlights turn on.
But I'll give the BCM fuses a check and see if it's something there.

It's more like the car interior doesn't go into "night" mode

Did you try to disconnect the battery for a while and then hook it back up? Also since your green light does not come on when the lights do maybe try switching out of auto mode and manually turn on and off the headlights and see if it makes a difference.
