Hello all brothers out there, I have a dilemma, it is between the spark plug 41-110 and the 41-162 plug. From my research they conflict with each other. The parts guides say the 41-110 will not fit the LS2 engine but people say to use this. Other say use the 41-162 but that is a longer spark plug and I have a 6.0 LS2 engine not a LS3 engine which people say the LS3 engine has a different piston allowing the longer spark plug. I would hate to install the 41-162 plug and wack my piston. Can anyone clarify any of this info.
An in addition some say to gap and others say not to gap due to damage the electrode.
Thanks glockguy
Original LS2 spark plug was 41-985 gaped at .060", but GM discontinued it.
So the plug that replaced it is the 41-162 for the LS2, and will come gaped at .040" (leave it gaped at that, and don't change it back to .060" gap).
as for your question, the 41-110 is a NGK plug and the 41-162 is a Denso plug.
GM switched vendors, the plugs are basically the same.
Thanks for the reply but the 41-162 is longer than the 41-110 will the lenght of the 41-162 not be an issue?
2nd question why do people advocate the 41-110, would like to see your opion.
Thanks for the help

The depth of the plug in.the recess determines whether it's a "hotter" or "colder" plug--meaning it's proximity to the squelch area in the combustion chamber.
