The Service Traction Control light comes on every time after I park the car for a day then start it again. Drive it a few miles, shut it off, restart and the light is off? Doesn’t come back on until it’s parked for several days and started again. Been doing that same thing for years. When the TC light is left on (no restart) it’s never affected drivability or performance. Installed a new battery last year and cleaned the ground underneath the battery. Just wondering if anyone has experienced the same problem with their TC system. Mine is an 06 with manual trans and about 27,000 miles. I purchased it new in 06... Thanks
I’d invest in an aftermarket scan tool that has bidirectional capability and can scan all modules and see what trouble codes may be stored in the EBCM…you can start there.
Agree. At minimum, get a scan tool that can read ABS trouble codes....better also with SRS and bi-directional. Or swing by Autozone and let the 17 year old girl scan your car.
Wheel speed sensors rarely fail but might check to make sure they are clean and have good plug connections. Wheel sensor codes are C0035, 40, 45 or 50.
