2023 C6 of the Year Finalist - Modified
Default Clutch Return Spring borke

I had some sensations that something was a bit different. Car still drove perfectly, however, the clutch pedal would not return completely to th "upright position"....and I discovered the clutch return spring was broken. Tried to find a C5 spring, and the only one I could find was on ebay for $85......what? for a simple spring? Any suggestions? Thanks. in advance...

Might read up and see if this "improved" spring is still available.....Clutch Spring

Or Google OEM part numbers and pray

Something is up with that, Amazon and AutoZone say it's 'currently unavailable'.
I bought mine on Ebay 3 years ago for $14.81.

Yeah, what’s up with that is C5 springs are impossible to get now and the guy on eBay knows it. I’m sure he won’t have a problem selling it at that price. They aren’t in stock anywhere that I’ve found. [Edit, price is up to 125.00 on eBay. He can eat a bag of wieners for that price]

Try running without for awhile to see if it grows on you? I took mine off the day I got the car and really like the feel without it.

I went with the costly lingenfelter and I like it since it's linear. I removed the oem spring.

Consider the Tick master. It beats the pants off the stock master. No need for the spring and you can adjust the stroke/release to a degree.

Tried that, hate it. Feels like what it did with the c6 spring.

Does it feel like the C5 spring or more like the C6 weight wise?

I never got my hands on the C5 spring. The LF spring is a little stiff at first but I got used to it after a few rides.
