Hi there,
I have a bad TPMS sensor. Has anyone purchased some other brands than GM. The GM sensors are 4 times more than most of the others on Rock auto. I only have one that works intermittently, but I want to do all four. I would like to know what some here have done to solve the buy GM or the other ones question. Thanks!
I purchased some on ebay and got lucky they all worked. Ordered the tpms tool on there for like $5 as well. Make sure to test the tpms by placing by the wheel and programming before installing so you know they work.
I just used these on my '13 GS with no issues either. These ones that come pre-programmed are really easy to use, just need to do the re-learn procedure so the car knows their location. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...t=12036&jsn=12
I really don't know why there are so many models of essentially the same thing. I do know there was a change somewhere in the C6 lifespan so make sure you get ones appropriate for your year.
I had a bad TPMS ordered an aftermarket unit and it lasted about 3 weeks. So now I have ordered 4 new GM Sensors from GM Parts Depot. Part #20925924 at a cost of $106.72 CDN ea which is about $75 US. They work perfectly on my 2011 GS
