I ordered the C7 Carbon Legacy Diffuser on February 14th.Their site said 5-8 weeks production time and every month since I've inquired about the progress. The responses have been quick but the estimated completion/ship dates have been missed the past 4 or 5 inquiries.
Is this normal for that company? I'm pretty close to charging back my card as I'm worried I may never see this part and lose the $1300+ I paid for it.
Fantastic, I just got this automated response from them:
We are currently relocating our manufacturing facility to a new location. During this transition, please anticipate delays in telephone and email responses until our new customer support center is fully operational. We expect this move to be completed by June 9, 2025, with operations returning to normal shortly thereafter. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We’ll respond to your message as soon as possible!
They've been that way for years.... if you go back through threads and look. That's why I never bought anything from them. They have cool ****, but don't want to deal with their BS.

Reason: spelling
I would say it's normal. I ordered a spoiler in April of 2024 and it finally shipped almost 1 year later in March of 2025. Zero communication from C7 Carbon, no one answers the phone or returns emails. Just forget you ordered it and be patient or file a claim with your credit card company and order from somewhere else.

Who knows if they've even started making my part.
They don't even know if they've started making your part yet. They order them from China and get them when they get them. They string you along for the ride when they have no known ETA.
I called them a couple of weeks ago. They told me it would be shipped July 11th. At that point, I asked them for a refund and they told me "we've been having issues with credit card refunds, please open a dispute case with Paypal"
I did so and if they don't respond to Paypal by this Friday, I get my full refund. I'm beyond pissed at C7 Carbon. I ordered the diffuser in February and instead of getting realistic ETA, they keep kicking the metaphorical date can down the road. They have lost my business forever and though I'm not asking people to refrain from ordering from them, I hope my story is a good lesson for those who do choose to purchase from C7 Carbon.
Yes I know EOS has some quality issues, but their customer service has been top notch in my experience. If a part doesn't fit right, they send a replacement. I plan on ordering their diffuser once I get my money back from C7carbon.

This is a very suspicious statement. Either way, save that email as it's all the proof you would need if they try to do something shady and dispute the Paypal refund. If you have ANY issues with Paypal, you can dispute the charge through your credit card company directly.

I feel the same way. It was over the phone though so there's no email proof outside of them constantly telling me "1-2 weeks more", etc..

think you find if you have paid using Paypal you are not protected by the CC company anymore
An update and closure. Paypal ruled in my favor and I got a full refund. I've owned well over a dozen cars in different makes and models and bought parts for every one of them. I have never dealt with a company with such a terrible customer service.
With so many options, not sure why anyone would do business with a place like this
I only did because they had a reputation for higher quality parts than EOS. I also spoke with a couple of guys at local car shows who had carbon pieces from them and they said wait times were around a month.
My diffuser took forever to arrive.. lots of email back and forth. When it arrived, it didn’t fit all that well either (it was the race version). I also ordered CF front mudguards and that fit left something to be desired as well.
