just scored a set of new Hotchkis sways for $200 new in box. I don't plan on tracking the car but I do plan on doing some very spirited driving. I don't want the car to ride like a Z06 (too stiff for me) as it will be driven very frequently. is it worth swapping in the new ones for the stock old ones or should I just leave it alone?
leave it alone. Heavier/thicker bars will affect ride in the sense that the car will move/jiggle more over uneven pavement.

i figured. But couldn’t pass them up. I had H sways on my charger and didn’t notice that much of a difference but that thing was a heavy pig. Thanks for your suggestion.
A nice stiff rear swaybar cam also help you induce a little oversteer. I doubt you'll notice a big difference in comfort with them. Put them on, try them out, if you don't like them swap back. Not a hard job to do.

In straight line and typical street driving anti-sway bars will not make a noticeable difference in "comfort".
Years back I first installed new Z06 sway bars on my 06 base coup but didn’t like the way it rode and handled. Removed them and installed the Z51 sway bar package and was happy with the over all handling and ride. My vette has the F55 package and the Z51 sway bars improved the handling imo. I’d install the ones you bought and judge for yourself if you like the ride and handling. Easy to install them....
