just purchased a 2007 c6 convertible with 50k miles, excellent shape...all's been well till I went out to start car and no green light/ message no Fob found. Both fobs activate door locks/ trunk/alarm.Both fobs are programmed.
I've changed batteries in both Fobs twice now.
Purchased new Optimum car battery. Car starts runs fine with Fob in glove box pocket.Mechanic had me get module #25940664, did not help.
On another forum they recommended module # 25786622 which I received today but have not paid to have installed yet. I'm concerned due to the fact that it is labeled as a 2007 c6 Z06...
I need help with what part acts as a receiver?
Electric gremlins are stealing the joy out of my new to me dream car. It's been trouble free fun as a daily for 1500 miles. HELP PLEASE!
Lost in San Antonio....avoiding the dealerships.
Don’t go by Forum part numbers !!…if anything go to the GM dealership with your VIN and they will be more than happy to get you the right part number…always best to use the OE part number or the superseded number recommended by the dealership….here is a TSB…basically if you try to start the car and hear “ONE CLICK” it may be a bad RCDLR…best to make sure the FOB battery is between 3.2 to 3.3 volts and you don’t have anything in the car that may cause RF interference…cell phone chargers, cell phones and things like that…interior LED lighting can cause problems as well and this is pointed out in another TSB…so you have NO ignition function ??…no ACCY mode or ignition ON (green light on ??) holding bottom of start button down for 5 seconds ??…for ignition function the RCDLR and the BCM must communicate with each other…I would have a shop look for that…an auto electric shop has more experience with this.
