I have recently purchased a 2005 corvette c6 A4 3LT and was taking apart the center console when I noticed the button right next to the cigarette lighter. I have played around with it over some time and did not see anything happen. I searched online and didn't get a clear answer on what this does. As far as I know, the car is stock with only an aftermarket exhaust and air intake.
Weirdly enough it looks like it's been spliced into which seems to me that this button was added manually?? I am lost on what this does and any help on what this is would be great!
Could be any number of things since it’s simply an on/off switch. My first guess would be mild 2 wild switch for the exhaust
This got me thinking... I have Borla Atak exhaust on and after some quick research, Borla's website say's that it does not come with NPP Valves, so I think it rules that option out unless they manually add it. Also, the car did not come equipped with the NPP option for the stock exhaust, so it rules out the option of having the button when the car had the stock exhaust. I'll check once I get the chance.
Since we would all just be guessing, here's my guess. At some point, an owner added a diy NPP in a box type system and the NPP mufflers. Someone else got rid of them for the ATAK but left the button, which is now obsolete. Again, just a guess. Maybe look for more hardware near the mufflers, i.e. capped vacuum lines.
100% aftermarket. Where does the wiring go? Could have been an amp cut off if there was a subwoofer installed at some point, could be a taillight cut out for driving illegally, could have controlled extra lights or am eject-o seat-o or who knows what.
Follow the wires. They're probably cut off somewhere and whatever it controlled is gone,. otherwise you'd probably know what it does lol.

I'll check out where the wiring goes when I'm in there again. I think previously having subwoofers installed is the most likely cause or something radio related.
