Electrical Issues
Hi everyone, first time posting here. I recently bought a salvage title C6. After repairing the damage, I plugged in brand new LED stoplights, because the previous ones (also LED) were broken. This is where some weird anomalies started happening.
1. Running lights never work, whether in park or in drive.
2. Stoplights and blinkers work when the DRLs are on, but when I turn on the headlights, the entire backside of the car goes dark.
3. Trunk button never works (I assume that might be due to dust build-up because the car was in a dusty garage while it was being repaired).
I did these checks with the old stoplights and the same issue happened with them so it isn't entirely due to the new LED stoplights.
I checked all fuses and none of the were blown.
Another interesting thing is when driving with DRLs and either pressing brake or using a turn signal, the light for the parking lights pops up on the dashboard (blinks for turn signals and stays on for braking).
I am a bit stumped on how to diagnose the exact issue so any help would be appreciated!
