Default Apsis USA?

Can anyone provide some intel as to why the Apsis USA rep was banned on here?

Was wanting to place a rather large order of CF parts (had a positive experience last year on some Grand Sport badges) but if there's a new development on their service and or quality of product I'd like to be privy.

Thanks in advance

This past week I emailed and called twice and never received a response. I think they may be out of business.

I saw them set up at Corvette Expo in March of this year.

They are not out of business as I saw them at Carlisle.
I was rather surprised they are an ederly Chinese couple that runs this place.

I was there as well and bought some parts from them. Sometimes their language is not as good and yes they are an older couple but they have excellent parts quality. But a little pricy. I was surprised to see they were banned from CF.

My guess is because they made posts all over saying “anyone want this part?” Indicating they were giving it away vs selling parts like a traditional FS post.

Once I saw them in person, I then understood the non traditional posts.

That was my experience, as well. The communication aspect when placing my order left a little to be desired, but the parts quality was excellent, and the estimated delivery window provided was spot on.

I emailed them, so we'll see if I get a response.

I’ve dealt with Jersey Wu, by email and phone quite a few times. Never had any issues, but had most of my success by emails because of the language barrier. He used to answer right away.

I second this. I have done a lot of business with him over the years. He is certainly not the fastest vendor anywhere, but his work is top notch. Nice guy, too.

I suppose I'm mostly curious why a vendor that has been active on here for 20 years was banned as "spam/scammer". Still haven't heard back from Jersey on my email attempts, so we'll see.

Maybe the acct was hacked? Maybe someone got sensative because they weren’t shipping quick enough or responding quick enough.
Maybe they are on vacation or retired and moved back to China?

lots of assumptions. Lol

Right. Was hoping to discover the reason, to avoid assumptions lol.

I just figured if there's other forum members who planned to place an order (or more importantly members currently awaiting a pending order) it may provide some much-appreciated clarity.

I'm local to Apsis and wanted to pick up the part rather than ship. That wasn't a problem but dealing with him was. It wasn't a language issue. There was no accommodating me. I wanted one of an item that was a pair. No problem selling one but he banged the price on the item to where it didn't make sense to buy it. He went back and forth with me through email but wouldn't budge an inch. This was for a fast easy all cash pickup. He's all about the shows, he didn't care about the Corvette Forum or its members.

My guess is that he was warned about his misleading "anybody want this part?" Having dealt with him was not a pleasant experience...I think he was warned not to use that phrase and ignored it and was banned.

(iirc there were early thread in which an initial product of his was getting criticism for how it held up. People posted pictures and he kept pushing back. He wouldn't own up or refund the defective part. He later changed the materials of the defective product. He has some interesting items but if anything goes wrong, he's always right and you lose!)

I'm guessing his contact as a supporting vendor expired and he didn't renew.
