Hi All, I have a deposit and tentative deal on a 2013 C6 GrandSport at a fair price. 1-owner car, good carfax, drives good, 36k miles. Only drawback here is some cosmetic imperfections.
Please take a look at the below and let me know what you think, appreciate everyone's productive comments...thanks
Run from that car. That quarter panel is cracked. The front bumper is also broken, as the fender liners have a sizable gap showing, meaning the screw holes are broken.
What's your intended use? If the drivetrain has been well maintained it would be nice to have a GS you could enjoy (maybe track?) and not have to treat like a collectable. Providing it is priced accordingly, of course.
It all depends on your comfort level with how you think the car has been cared for. Many of the scratches may be able to be buffed and made to look better. But it should be priced accordingly. What are they asking for the car?

We are currently at $36.5 from $39.5.
I get it that the car has cosmetic issues. But it’s a 2013, last year production 3LT Grand Sport manual, there’s something to be said about that.

Sounds like you're trying to justify the purchase and price. If you plan on driving the car, "last year production 3LT Grand Sport manual" doesn't mean much. If you're looking for a collector, not a driver, it's not in good enough condition.
I wouldn't consider a cracked quarter panel a minor cosmetic issue.
Why wouldn't' a dealership fix minor cosmetic issues before they put a car up for sale?
The same reason they don't put high dollar tires on a used car. They're not in the business of putting money into cars. Especially for something that a lot of people wouldn't notice because most of the damage is on the underside of the fender lip.

You would have to be blind not to notice the crack in that quarter panel.
