I've been searching the forum regarding the procedure for starting the car after storage. The threads I found related to manual transmissions, but can't find one for automatics. What is the process for starting the car without it firing to circulate the oil before it fires? I have a 2006 C6.

Reason: Clarificaiton
A little story on my experience with this method which I still use all the time on numerous GM cars. Make double dam sure you have the gas pedal ALL the way to the floor! I did this once, thought I had it floored but it wasn't, it started and reved super high instantly. I got lucky nothing happened but it's the exact opposite of what you want to accomplish. Once again, I still do the flooded method to prevent it from starting but I make sure the gas pedal is firmly to the floor!!

Never heard of such a thing, what is the timeline of "car after storage"? I just start my car the normal way.
In places like Canada and northern states where in can be below freezing for most of winter months, cars are parked or stored. Not so much in AL, Tx, Fl and Calif

I make it a point to stay south of the Mason-Dixon line.
I think this method of holding the throttle/gas pedal applies to many fuel injected engines. I leaned this before I owned my C6 when I owed a fuel injected Jet Ski and the winterize procedure called for fogging the cylinders. After spraying storage oil in the cylinders and replacing the spark plugs you had to hold full throttle and crank the the engine. This disabled the fuel injection and allowed the storage oil to coat the cylinders.
