Hey guys I recently came across this issue with my C6 corvette 2007 base. And is making this noise I haven’t tried starting the car after this video and I was wondering if the engine is blown and I’m better of getting a new one or if is something that a mechanic needs to dive into more to diagnose, thanks yall
If you do not know how to troubleshoot, then yes you need to go to a mechanic.
”blown” is a relative term. It’s deff not good, but how not good is unknown.
Right after my 2010 Grand Sport was out of warranty the engine seized and I had to install a crate motor in it. GM would do nothing even though it was barely out of warranty.

I agree. the first thing I would have done is check all the fluids to see if they have swapped places. It almost sounds like an exhaust chirp from a leaky gasket.
Buddy had some abnormal engine sound, I gave he my opinion and told him do not start that again. He called me a few day and found the problem. He went to a local auto repair shop close to him and payed a mechanic 50 or 100 bucks dont remember to come out and look at it. I thought it was internal but i told him he can do a couple of test because i didn't want to do. It ended up being a pulley bearing and got it fixed at mechanic shop.
Saved him towing fees: if you have tow service through car insurance, do that.
