Default Main wire harness question

Anyone know what these two wires that have been spliced into are for? Assuming probably a sound system that was removed. purple wire and pink wire with a white one previously spliced into it.

i don’t have any sound to my speakers so trying to isolate the issue - wondering if this is related

I’m going to guess 2008 based on the OP’s username.

Ha, didn't notice that, I looked at his profile which is pretty blank. I don't know of a source for the 2008 wiring diagrams, the closest I can come to is the 2007 diagrams which might be close, you can get the 2007 diagrams for free from @papawana here. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ams-offer.html

It's difficult to tell which harness it is in your photo and the location of it, but I would suspect if they tried tapping into the wire harness to the speakers, they would have tapped into it the stock harness of the amp where it comes out of the stock amp to the speakers, the stock amp is located next to the floor board fuse panel under the passenger side carpet. The harness in your photo looks like it's under the hood somewhere, so I'm thinking this isn't the cause of your speaker issues. Are you able to trace the wires coming off the splices to see where they go ? It almost looks like they tapped them as a power supply to an amp, if so, the way they did it is a really crappy job
