Started the engine swap and discovered the radiator support is broken so I need a new one.
Of parallel interest, I have heard a full size radiator can be made to fit under the A&A air intake tube that connects the aftercooler outlet to the throttle body. To help facilitate that a radiator support that moves the raditor a bit lower might help. Is there such a thing as a radiator support bracket that moves the radiator a bit lower?
If not, what is the go to for a radiator support bracket these days?

An OEM-sized radiator can be made to fit the air intake bridge, but you have to do some cutting and possibly some additional persuasion with a hammer to the top few rows. Get a Dewitt's or CSF radiator that has was designed for a centrifugal blower and it will just work.
The A&A kit lowers the radiator support bracket by using spacers where it mounts to the car. I've never heard of a special bracket, just the use of spacers.

If the lower rad support is too strongly constructed, then if it gets hit hard enough something else is going to give way. There’s a sense that the OEM support was made to be sacrificial so that it breaks before something more expensive does. Just my .02. They may sometimes call it a skidplate but it’s anything but.

Agree with FW. Nothing wrong with the eBay/Amazon cheapies. Shouldn't pay more than $90.
Put THIS ONE on 5 years ago. 83 bucks. Don't think you need a $350 one unless you just really like ramming into things.
3 tips:
1) make sure to get the one-piece unit and not the two-piece with all the bolts.
2) make sure new one includes the insert rivnuts already installed.
3) for asthetics, a little black paint keeps them from standing out too much.
Josh at A&A confirmed they have spacers for the radiator support. I ordered them along with a welded (Not bolted. LOL) radiator support bracket off of Amazon.

Hello Steve, I just had my welding guy fabricate a new mount without the bar across the bottom. I love it!
It now is attached to the frame only from the sides without the bar to scrape everything…
Call him. He’s a cool guy and can mail it to you. He has the template now.

Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
