I have been away from the C6 scene for about 7 years.
Just bought a 2010 base coupe a week ago and I remember that my last C6, a 2007, had a sliding cover over the cup holders. This one does not have one , so it either did not come with one or it's somehow missing.
buy replacements. It's fairly simple to remove the console & replace it.
is the replacement part of the cup holders? Or a separate mechanism? Trying to see what to Google for.
I have taken C6 consoles apart before, so i can tackle this.
Are you sure the car had a lid on the cup holder? Mine does not and I can't see where it ever had one. Just a comment.
Yeah, same here. Nothing looks missing or broken, but since I never use the cup holders, I would rather have a door. Swapping the assembly should not be a big deal at all.
I read somewhere ( don't recall where) someone repaired theirs by removing the old flexible backing for the door, and applied a new backing using an adhesive. Found it (Cup holder sliding door replacement) posted by Klawp on Aug 24, 2021. Probably will give this a try since mine just fell apart when i closed it a couple of weeks ago. I like having the door.

They all came with the sliding cover. It's probably the flimsiest part of the interior and the least necessary so when they fall apart many don't fix it.
