Default Front bumper alignment

What do I need to do to close the gap on the bumper. I tried to adjust when I swapped the OEM headlight into the car, but failed and figured I could try again in the warmer weather

It is like this on both sides

Something isn't seated right under the headlights. They shouldn't be sticking out like that. I'd remove the bumper cover and start over.

seated how or where? I will get to it, probably when I replace the lower splitter. Weather is finally nice so I want to enjoy the car instead of tearing it apart

It should take maybe an hour to pull the bumper cover off and re-attach it.

The bottom of your lights should be sitting flush with the bumper cover & it should line up near perfectly where it meets the fender. The two 10mm (I believe) bolts on either side by the side marker pull it tight. Something is off either with the lights not seated correctly, the bumper cover hung up on something, or both.

When you're installing the lights you have to tighten the nuts on each of the 3 posts a little at a time and move from one to the next to the next to ensure you're lining the lights up correctly.

I will get to it, but the splitter that came on the car I want to swap. But I will take a look. It takes more time to get the car to the point of pulling the bumper,

to add, I keep it on a Kwik Lift, so I will
lift it on the kwik lift then jack the front up to pull the wheels to access everything. It looks like it is something underneath that is pulling the bumper down, it was this way when I bought it and the aftermarket lights were on it. The stock lights seemed to settle in the holes when I put them on. But will need to check, hopefully I will be able to get it to fit correctly again

Would someone be able to get some close up pictures of the OEM head and filament around its perimeter so the front bumper and the top side where it meets the fender?

thanks would be greatly appreciated

bringing this to the top.. with inner front fenders removed, I loosened the 3 10mm nuts on the headlight ( working on the driver side) I found the fender was too close to the hood at the front where the fender, bumper and hood meet. so I adjusted the fender to have a even gap.
the following have been removed:
- 10mm nuts (fender to bumper)
- 10mm nut on the bottom where the bumper connects
- 5 7mm screws along the bottom of the bumper.
- 4 10mm bolts along the top.

Only bolts I think are left are the 2 10mm fender to bumper nuts and the 10mm nut on the bottom of the bumper.. but I would think the bumper would move or flex on the driver side.

Am I missing any bolts? the bumper doesn't want to move or flex, the headlifghts are pressed against the surface it bolts to..
What is the trick?
