I purchased replacement LED bulbs from Vette Lights.com

https://www.vette-lights.com/collect...ucts/c6highled

And I also did a mod that keeps the low beams and fog lights on when you switch to high beams: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...igh-beams.html

I bought LED turn signals, low beam, high beam and fog lights from Auxito. I was hoping to install this weekend but my jacking pucks didn't arrive Friday in the mail.

So maybe the weekend of June 7th I can get them installed. I'll report back with my results.

Default Job Complete-Some Tips

Just finished the install of the Vette Lights LED bulbs. The high and low beams look strong during the day and I'm sure they will be great at night. I picked up some "tricks" during the installation so I thought I'd share.

1. Although some have successfully changed bulbs without pulling a wheel I couldn't have done it even though I have a lift. I'd suggest you pull a wheel unless you have the arms of a chimpanzee.

2. The long rubber dust covers (high beam on the inner side) are difficult to seat as they have aged and become inflexible. I used split foam pipe insulation in the final installation to make sure the high beam covers stayed put. The split foam "bulks up" the back of the high beam covers. This added bulk keeps the covers installed permanently or until another bulb replacement is required. The high beam covers stay positioned because the fender liner access port "lid" held in place by plastic fasteners, presses against the foam during and after final installation, The other dust covers on the outside (low beam) stay in place and don't need added bulk. Note: Vette Lights furnished replacement high beam covers but I preferred to use the stock ones because they fit better.

3, Working with the tiny ten mm torque screws is tricky because if you drop one it is probably gone forever. I held a small extendable magnet below each screw as I took it out and caught it. To install, I used a 10mm nut driver with the 10 mm screw taped to it. Keep in mind it's very easy to drop and lose the screws without "tricks."

Output is excellent. At least twice as bright at the stock bulbs. And because the C6 has projector lenses, the light is actually projected forward properly. (I tried some LED's in my other car that did not have projector lenses and it made almost no difference).

And with the mod to keep the lows and fog lights on with the high beams, front light output is excellent. Just the low and fog lights is great for most night driving.

It's been 3 years since I also did the high and low beam mod. For the mod to keep lows on with the highs, I used the following parts from Amazon:

I got my LED's installed. Now I'm waiting for dark to take it for a quick test drive.

Initial views are they are very bright! I had zero messages on my gauges in the message center. All the bulbs work properly. Highs, lows and fog lights. I didn't need any resistors or anything else. Just plug and play.

Holy moses these are like daylight! Wow! The difference is insane. I had trouble seeing the road coming back from Portland in March. No issues now whatsoever.

These are Auxito 6500K LED high beam, low beams and fog lights.

I'm not sure the neighbor will appreciate these when I leave at night.
