C6 wish....

Why do all the C5's look the same?
I hope with the C6 they'll occasionally change the front clip or rear clip.... or something... so they don't all look the same for the next 5-10 years...
Whatcha think?
I'd much rather see a complete redesign every seven or eight years than continuous twiddling of details on a design that's long in the tooth.
And, generally the original version of a particular design is the best looking; later fascia changes tend to compromise the design. Corvettes have generally fared better than most in this regard, but it's still a risk I'd rather them not take.

Although, it's JMO, and not everyone may like the later over the older C4 body styles.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
In the 911's there is a strong, recognizable concept which has evolved over the years, but the profile/silhouette is still comparable to 25-30 years ago. Other than two seats, badging and a 350 V8, there is very little which suggests that C2's and C5's, as an example, come from the same lineage. If Porsche's approach had been applied to the Corvette, we probably wouldn't need to be debating about head and tail lights, because the concept imagery would still be intact.
I've often wondered what the mid-year (C2), for example, could have become if it had been allowed to evolve. I'm encouraged by the spy photos that perhaps we'll find out.

I'm so bored of the C5 styling, it isn't even funny. At least the C4's had a wide-body ZR1, updated front/rear clips, 3 different interiors, and a bunch of cool motors. In other words, the car EVOLVED.
Name ONE other car that has kept the same exact same body panels for the last 8 model years like the C5? No one! Why? Because it's boring.
They don't do it with the Corvette because they know that no matter what they do, or DON'T do, you'll keep buying them. :nono:

To hold off the new car buyers and keep the corvette program afoat,
while all the attention at the design studios at GM was on making the C5.They threw little changes on the old car to buy time.
Till they could get the c5 ready to market
