C5 or C6 ????
C6 spy pix are really C6's? Guess again. They could be modified C5's with C6 technology. Meaning the technology being for C6 being road tested in modded C5's so people think that is the looks of C6. The technology has to be road tested not the body. :smash:

If those were C6es with C5 bodies, don't you think they would actually have C5 bodies? Have you ever even seen a C5? Those are not C5 bodies.

But thats the thing they like to tease people and make them think its the look of a C6. I just brought up this topic to see what people think and any good ideas so please dont get mad.

NO, I WILL NOT TRUST SOMEONE WHO IS NOT OBSERVANT!
I am not saying that the Spy shots have the correct body pannels, but under the skin is NOT a C5 - could be an XLR, but NOT a C5. LOOK AT THE EDGES OF THE DOOR OPENINGS FOR A C5 AND FOR THE SPY CARS. LOOK AT THE DOOR OPENINGS OF THE ADMITTEDLY C6 BASED XLR. NOT A C5!!!!

Anyone remember when C5 mules were spotted in '96? They were 4th gen Camaro bodies with wheels that stuck waaaaay out of the fenders. Everyone thought that they were a 5th gen Camaro at the time.

I really don't care. I will see an actual C6 come January 2004 at the Detroit Auto Show when everyone else will see it.

Hi. Where I work we have advance products. Sometimes they are camouflaged with vinyl, or wild ameba paint jobs. And sometimes I see one at a softball game that the engineer is weekend testing. I know this because of the "M" plate. Otherwise I would not even know it!
An engineering prototype doesn't have to be disguised, it can be in last year's body. A design prototype can be viewed in a full sized clay. Even other employees are not privy to this info.
We are trying to out guess the very people who's job it is to not only engineer and design America's premier vehicle. I said engineer...and design, but keeping in mind one more department. The department that will give us the Corvette...foreplay. It's easy for us to sit back and post "I like it, I don't, I like it, I don't". Once the marketing types make us fall in love at the Detroit show we will bite the hook deeply.

They are definetly C6's...that would be like saying that all of the "SPIED" pictures from all the car magazines are fake!?!?!?! It's like seeing a new Ferrari covered in camo and asking if it's a modded Lamborghini with Ferrari technology...they (as well as the C5 vs C6 look nothing alike).... :cheers:
