Default New Logo Spec

There's been some speculation as to the new C6 logo. The first mentioned that the flags were not crossed and the oval was reshaped to a circle.

Just recently we've now heard that the new logo will NOT have a circle, nor an oval, so I chopped a couple specs of my own.

Whatchyall think?

Edit: I should note that the chrome is based on (chopped from) the commemorative edition hood emblem.

i like both of them. the 1st pic looks too much like C3, the second one looks good. it it new and fresh while still retaining the vette heritage.

Call me old-fashioned, but crossed flags should cross.

And brightwork has no business being on a new Corvette's exterior.

Just one more thing I'll have to remove.

The pic in the middle looks like it came directly off my '79. The bottom one looks similar to the C2 and I'll bet it's right on, or possibly a bit larger deeper "V" since the C5's oval theme is replaced with the C6's "V" theme.

Also, I agree with Jinx, the Chrome edges must be black, or perhaps that black tinted chrome.

Yup straight chrome would not be good, but I like the metal shown here because it does actually look tinted. But it needs to be much darker as you say.
So I would not want silver chrome, but more like a "black chrome" or "graphite chrome" like substance. But I guess i am getting way too picky.. it will probably just be plastic. My emblems were scraped of my car with a screw driver so I should just wish they paint the damn things on.

I would like something embossed into the body with no colors. Otherwise I'm not sure if I like any of the proposals so far. :yesnod:

Try # 1 without the circle--otherwise # 3

Embossed into the body would great, but I don't think it'd take paint very well. The design is too intricate -- checkered, bowtie, fleur-de-lis. To paint well it would have to be too big.

But a shadow graphic might be nice. Personally, I'd prefer a good decal to a plastic stick-on.

So far, nobody who was actually in Vegas to see the car has chimed in and confirmed the claim, but I thought it might be fun to spec it out anyway.

Actually I remember reading a post in here that it was just the flags with no circle or oval. I believe it was one of those "my friend works for gm and said" kind of things. But my favorite of them is the last one.
