It doesn't count for jack!
If you want to get all hot and sweaty over the C6, please go ahead.
But if you're considering one because of the way it will impress the general public, fahgeddaboutit!
They haven't caught on to the C5 yet. To them a Vette's just a Vette.

If that's why you're buying it, then IMHO you're buying it for all the wrong reasons anyway. If you want to impress the public, there are other cars that will do it better and there always have been. The vette is about having awesome performance in a good looking package. It's a balanced deal for the driver who wants a great mass produced sports car. It's not optimized for maximum social impact.
