Default C6 sighting

I hesitate to post this information, in part because I am new to the forum, no one knows who I am, and no one can vouch for my ethics, and this isn't a great deal of information.

So, anyway, here's my story. I live in Scottsdale, Az and I am riding with someone through Paradise Valley, AZ. Paradise Valley is located in the heart of the Phoenix Metro area and is an extremely upcale community.

I am riding south on Tatum Blvd. and out of the parking lot of the Paradise Valley County Club headed north comes a C6 roadster. It was sort of a medium dark blue-purple with a matching top. What gave it away was the strong side cove extending into the door and beyond. I saw the car for only a few seconds at best, and this is all I can come up with. I don't remember the front end. It was over is such a flash, and I was really excited.

I know what a C5 looks like, and this isn't any C5! Four tailights, two on each side and they were red. Since they weren't on, I couldn't tell if they were LED.

If I were driving, I would have turned around and followed it. The only reason I can believe that what I saw was really a C6 is that GM does some testing here in the Phoenix metro area, and I have seen cars draped in camoflage in downtown Phoenix.

I guess I'll see if I am correct when GM finally introduces the new model.

Have you looked at all the shots that have been posted? Did it really look like what we've already seen? I don't imagine they would be driving them around without camo unless they were filming or something. What was it doing? Was anyone following it?

:skep:

I don't even think they've made a roadster yet that isn't white.

Let's see...someone asked what the the car was doing. It was simply alone, leaving the somewhat secluded parking lot of the country club.

Regarding the Avelate, I did a search on Avelate and from the pictures I saw, it definately wasn't an Avelate. The Avelate is much too round, and the vehicle in question did not have the "eyebrows" above the rear wheel openings.

Regardless, the color was really great, even though it wasn't red.

O, yes...thanks for not hammering me regarding lack of detail, and questions regarding my contact with reality. I'm 57, not prone to UFO sightings, and have owned four Corvettes in the past 36 years:

1959 Roman Red with 1963 340 HP;
1963 Milano Maroon Coupe 365 HP;
1974 Arctic White roadster; and my current
1995 Torch Red roadster.
