Looking at the pictures I have seen today I feel like I have just lost my girlfriend. I am so disappointed with what GM came out with. I am a Corvette lover and I cant believe this is what they have come out with. I have also read that it will have 400 hp. How can they come out with the brand new c6 and make it have less HP than a car they made in 95. Come on GM.

Re: Chevy Fumbled (GDP)
I'd have been pretty tickled if my '95 would have had 400 horses.
And every one of the 100,000 plus LS-1 powered C5 owners would have appreciated 400 horses. In fact the Z06 guys have been reasonably thankful for their measly 405.
But I still don't understand how you can say you don't like the looks of a car you haven't stood next to yet.
Same goes for all the folks who have bitched that you couldn't get a 400 horse Vette with a targa and a hatch. Here it is boys. Line forms to the left. What's that? Oh, now you're bitchin 'cause you want a 455 horse Vette with a targa and a hatch. I see.
Personally, I couldn't DISAGREE more...I think it's more like a touchdown than a fumble!
I'm very pleased with everything I've seen (so far)...I'll be in Detroit to see the real deal on 10 January. As far as HP goes, I'll be quite happy with 400 or better.
I'll take a 400HP GM rating anyday. I'm sure it'll be like the 305HP rating on my 98 T/A. ;) I used to tell unsuspecting (mustang) people that it only did 294HP on the dyno when stock (automatic). Didn't bother to mention it was RWHP. :D If GM rates it 400HP and the C6 automatics put down 390rwhp, God Bless GM once again. :flag (Nothing like having a stock automatic C6 running 11's with just the addition of a drag radial . )
I hope it takes everybody over a year to warm up to it (and you will). That way I can get me a fat discount from all the ugly C6s sitting on dealer lots. :D
So everybody, please...we need more negativity on the C6. :jester
Definitely not a fumble in my book. I'm not sure I'll ever be thrilled with those headlights - and not just because they aren't popups. The quality and feel of the interior is going to be important on this Vette and we really have no idea on that yet.

I don't know what you're smokin' but it must be good stuff to cause those kind of hallucinations
P.S. Don't you just love those RX8/VIPER headlights? :U
:skep: I think many of you would buy it no matter what it looked like because it is newer, rumored to be bigger and badder, etc. Many of you critisize anyone with a negative response and say "how can you judge it if you haven't seen it?" Good question, and I ask you the same one. How can you rant and rave when YOU haven't seen it, and we are still basing most of our judgments on rumors, hype, and anticipation? I'll wait until Jan 10, but I expect to be underwhelmed by what I've seen SO FAR. :yesnod:

Re: Chevy Fumbled (C4FantaC)
I love it!!!! And, I got the 50k for the C6 to prove it, the 60k for the Z06 (trade up) and the 80-90k for the ZL1 (if it's made). It's as simple as that.....If you don't like it don't buy....Everthing else is just filler.
