LS2 3Valves?

LS2 3Valves?

Do we know for sure if the LS2 has 3 valves or not? Based on the HP and TQ numbers, it seems like you could easily get them from a slightly enlarged LS1 2 valve?

I get the impression that it doesn't have 3 valves per cylinder as rumored, we'll find out soon enough I'm sure.

According to the material scanned from MT and Auto(whatever), it's a two valve engine with 400 X 400. The engine for the Z06 version appears to be the 6.3lt 3 valve 500 HP engine. The trucks and SUVs are supposed to get a DoD 5.3lt, 3 valve engine. Will the LS2 get three valves in a couple of years or will there be an optional three valve LS2? :cool:
