A Christmas Memory
As we went to the relatives on a Christmas morning, we saw a man outside washing off a car in the snow. The car had no top & looked clean. I asked my dad why was he cleaning the car in the snow & where was the top????? The response was "son that is a corvette & they are very expensive & not practical." Well that got me started on a boat load of questions like why & who would want one. That was my first (exposure) to the corvette & what started my facination of this geat American dream. To this day I do not know who that person was & I looked very closely every time we passed that house, never to see it again. I will never forget seeing him cleaning his vette on that cold Christmas morning, but i DO know why he was doing it & as I was putting my corvette back in the garage after the christmas morning clean, every year, I wonder if he had that same feeling on that Christmas day so long ago??????
Merry Christmas CF readers. If you are cleaning your vette today with no intension on driving it, I will understand.

I can remember to this day my very first ride in a Corvette. High school 1968. A "well off" friend bought a 67-427 coupe. I could not believe the acceleration of that car. It took a long time to finally realize my dream of owning a Corvette. It was worth the wait. :yesnod:
