Checking out the new commercial, notice at the beginning when the car is rolling out and the lights are off. The parking lights are also off. No DRLs (unless they made it an option on the DIC or something). :hurray:
Yeah I know that you can pull a fuse on the C5 to turn off the DRLs but it also knocked out your backup lights or something like that. Minor detail...but I like it.
My guess is that the C6 will have DRL's. They must have disconnected the DRL's for the video shoot. Gives the car a stealthier look, maybe?
I was abused in a C5 thread some time back that the Corvette does NOT look stealthy with the number 2 fused pulled. I was informed that Corvettes cannot look stealthy. Of course nobody was able to explain the problem with their logic in that DRL's make the Corvette so much safer because it's so much easier to see, but DRL's don't make it any easier for anyone else to recognize a Vette coming (e.g. a LEO). Personally, I just prefer the look better without the DRL's and I don't want to give Mr. LEO a reason to put down his doughnut if he sees a Vette or F body in the distance. (Not trying to hijack the thread here.)
On our '03 Tahoe, the DRLs are on by default but you can simply turn the switch from "Auto" to "Off" and they turn off, that is until you start the car again. Then they come back on......
I see this as an improvement over yanking fuse 2 and loosing other lights.

Just my humble opinion.

Same thing on our 03 TrailBlazer they probably put the same thing in the DIC options of the corvette. Doesn't really matter to me i like the way the DRLs look so i'd keep them on.
