I saw the Chevy commercial for the 2004 model year. I didn't see the begining so I didn't know what it was. I saw a red car driving onto a moving flat bed. Everyone I was with thought is was a new Viper, Only when we saw the Chevy Avalanche driving onto the flatbed did we figure out it was the new Corvette. It looks nice, but it looks like a Viper  IMOPJust to ad this I saw the commercial in full. I like it better now :D
The Viper seems to exert a continuing influence on the automotive scene. For the casual observer it leaves a lasting impression. In time perhaps the new Corvette will change that perception and it will be the image that come to mind when thinking of red sports cars.
Here in town there are " American REvolution " billboards with the C6 Corvette as taken from the TV ad that Ben had got those sneak peek - on the back of the transporter - pictures of for us.
I for one really do the like the looks of the C6 and in the TV commercial it looks awesome. I think I was able to see the commercial 5 or 6 times, each time I focused in on different angles of the body, so now I have a pretty good idea of what it will look like when I see the first one in person. Another favorite of mine has been the SSR, and with it spinning it self around with tire smoke and backing up onto that moving transporter, it got alot of peoples attention that were at the New Years celebration party I was attending.
