To me the C6 does look improved with regards to the wheel well spacing. All the pics I've seen look like the C6 could be a lowered a tad in the back to even it out but in general it looks better than my C5 did.
Unfortunately, not when it's five inches shorter and one inch higher. That's the reason the C6 profile pic halfway down on this link page is segmented- to make it look more graceful:
In the comparion shots of C6 and C5, the wheel wells look wider than C5 (fore and aft). This seems to lend to a better look with respect to the gap on the C6.
It looks to me they filled the fender gap a bit better, but it has more ground clearance. This may present a problem for the people who want to slam the car, as you're going to run into fender rubbing issues before the car sits really low.
Of course it's probable the display cars we see now and will see in the upcoming months have already been lowered some, and the production cars will still roll out with the huge fender gaps.
