Default C6 Steering Wheel - ARGHHHHHH!

While I was at the local Chevy dealership waiting to get the trans fluid changed in the '99, I noticed they had a Black Chevy SSR on the lot. After overcoming the initial sticker shock of $47k, I peeked inside the cabin and to my horror and amazement was the same steering wheel as used in the C6, but this one had radio controls built into the spokes!!!!! If nothing else, the Corvette always had its own unique steering wheel, except for the Vega wheel of the late '70s cars. :cuss :cuss :cuss

That's interesting. I thought they were different. When did they change the SSR wheel?

What are you talking about? I'm not the one claiming that they're the same.

Here's proof that they are not the same:

p.s. It's as simple as going to the photo galleries for the C6 and SSR. How hard can that possibly be?

Sorry, I thought you were responding to VetDude because your post was the next one in line. It helps to quote who you are responding to.

All I can say is the SSR that I saw did not have the same wheel as you show in the picture - it didn't even have the aluminum spokes. Similar but not the same. But hey, pictures from a website must gospel, right?

And Scissors, you've got to be kidding me - the worst evar? I'll see your one  and raise you two

Purchase glasses or contacts.

I'll take GM's official pictures of their own vehicle over your spotty memory any day.

How about this: Tell me which dealership it was and I'll drive up there personally and take pics. I have to cross into Maryland this week anyway.

Don't you just love people that take joy in belittling others? Purchase glasses or contacts? Spotty memory? You were there, right? You've seen an SSR up close and personal, right? But that's OK, take your cheap shots. Like the old saying goes, "The more people I meet, the more I like my dog."
